Chesterfield (1971)
In 1971 Anthony Cummins of Lockoford Lane saw a brilliant orange-white disc shoot past his window.

Chesterfield (1985)
At 1.45 a.m. in late July 1985, PC Mark Turner observed a flashing blue / red UFO over Chesterfield for over 35 minutes, before it moved off in the direction of Dronfield. This was also witnessed by a number of civilians.

Chesterfield (1985)

On the 12th September 1992, Mr Silcock saw a UFO over Newbold Road, Chesterfield. It appeared to come from the direction of the Moon, hovered overhead, then shot off at high speed in the direction of Clay Cross.

Chesterfield (1993)
At 5.50 a.m. on the 19th October 1993, Mr H Dannatt of St Augustine's Avenue, Birdholme, Chesterfield saw a UFO over Birdholme. It came from the direction of Matlock, hovered, shot upwards extremely fast, hovered and then went in the direction of Bolsover.
Chesterfield (1997)
In June 1997 five lights were seen forming between them a star shape, at an angle of 20 degrees to the horizontal, above Chesterfield.

Chesterfield (2007)
In August 1997 three unidentified lights were seen over Chesterfield, two of which were quite dim and the third of which was quite bright.

In April 2009 several orange lights (the same colour and brightness as street lights) were observed in the sky above Chesterfield.

In June 2009, 12 bright lights were seen to be moving slowly in the sky.

Chesterfield (October 2009)
In October 2009 bright orange spheres were seen, which became smaller the further away they went.

Chesterfield (February 2010)
At 05.15 a.m. on the 27th February 2010 Richard Dyson observed a giant triangular craft passing low overhead with one bright light at the front and two white flashing lights at the rear corners. It made a very low pitched rumbling sound.

Chesterfield (July 2010)
At 11.15 p.m. on the 10th July 2010 Ray Parker saw 14 bright red lights travelling from West to East over Chesterfield, appearing to be flying faster than an aeroplane. They made no sound.
At 10 p.m. on the 20th July 2010 a witness saw a number of bright yellow lights appearing to travel in formation and making no sound.
Either or both of these sightings could possibly have been Chinese lanterns.

Chesterfield (September 2010)
At 9.30 p.m. on the 1st September 2010 a married couple saw an orange orb in the sky, which travelled quite fast towards them. It slowed up, started to retreat and then shot off towards the East. The UFO made no sound.
Chesterfield (October 2010)
At 2 a.m. one day in October 2010, from just outside his house in Chesterfield Shaun Turner saw a huge spherical bright light travelling fast. A jet aircraft arrived and the sphere shot off over his house.

Chesterfield (July 2011)
At 1.10 a.m. on the 31st July 2011 Matt Smith witnessed a bright light travelling in a wavy line in the sky. After about two minutes, it descended at a fast speed. It stopped and emitted a blue light, subsequently shooting off.

Chesterfield (December 2011)
At 3 p.m. on the 10th December 2011 Stephen Harvey and Eric Raynor saw a very bright white light hovering above Chesterfield. It made no noise. Mr Raynor, being in the Fleet Air Arm, could tell that it was not a conventional aircraft.

Chesterfield (2012)
At 9.20 p.m. on the 12th January 2012 John Batteson was sitting at the back of his house in Chesterfield when he saw a bright spot of light travelling roughly from North to South. It was orange-yellow in colour and spherical. There was no sound. It is possible that it was a Chinese lantern.

Clay Cross (2009)
At 3.10 a.m. on the 7th August 2009 Emma Clarke saw a small white light in the sky, darting around erratically, going from left to right and up and down.

At 11 p.m. on the 26th June 2010 Cliff Williams saw four large orange lights moving from North to South, very high and very fast and following one another. They suddenly faded into a clear night sky. The witness identified them as not being Chinese lanterns.

Clowne
One July evening in 1967 four unidentified lights in the sky were seen, which were hovering silently over a house in Clowne.
