Tupton
One winter’s evening in the late 1960s or early 1970s, a number of witnesses saw a circular craft with lights showing through a row of portholes, hovering at what seemed to be about 150 feet off the ground, above the houses of New Tupton.

Uppertown
Driving home from a party, at about 2 o'clock one morning in 1978, a couple saw an odd light in a barn at Dry Hurst Farm, as they were driving north along Cullumbell Lane. Then, all of a sudden, a disc shaped object with 3 white lights hovered over a field on the right just before Buntingfield Lane. Just as they reached Buntingfield Lane, the lights vanished and there was nothing to be seen. When the couple went back to investigate the next afternoon, they found that a delivery man who used to do nights just dumped all his items in the farmyard at Dry Hurst Farm, where that odd object had been the night before.
